Hadith about parents

 

قَالَ اَميرُ الْمُؤْمِنينَ عَلِىٌّ عليه السلام: بِرُّ الوالِدَيْنِ اَكْبَرُ فَريضَةٍ.

Imam Ali (PBUH):

“The greatest and the most important duty ordained by God is to be good to one’s parents.”

قالَ الصادِقُ عليه السلام: بِرُّ الْوالِدَيْنِ مِنْ حُسْنِ مَعْرِفَةِ الْعَبْدِ بِاللّهِ اِذْ لا عِبادَةَ اَسْرَعُ بُلُوغا بِصاحِبِها اِلى رِضَى اللّهِ مِنْ حُرْمَةِ الْوالِدَيْنِ الْمُسْلِمَيْنِ لِوَجْهِ اللّهِ تَعالى.

Imam Sadiq (PBUH) says: “Being good to one’s parents is the sign which shows a servant of God has recognized God very well. Because no other worship makes a person closer to God’s contentment but observing the veneration of one’s Muslim parents for the sake of God.”

قالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ صلي الله عليه و آله: اَلْعَبْدُ الْمُطيعُ لِوالِدَيْهِ وَلِرَبِّهِ فِى اَعْلى عِلّييّنَ.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

“A person who is obedient to his parents and his God will be in the highest ranks in the Day of Judgment.”

قالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ صلي الله عليه و آله: مَنْ اَرْضى والِدَيْهِ فَقَدْ اَرْضَى اللّهَ وَمَنْ اَسْخَطَ والِدَيْهِ فَقَدْ اَسْخَطَ اللّهَ.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

“He who pleases his parents has pleased God and he who enrages his parents has enraged God.”

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللّهِ صلي الله عليه و آله قالَ: بِرُّوا آباءَكُمْ يَبِرُّكُمْ اَبْناءُكُمْ

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

“Be good to your fathers so that your children be good to you.”
